It’s been another busy summer at Hammond & Smith – and it seems crazy to think we have not yet turned 2! As the nights start to draw in, we are looking forward to the months ahead and welcoming new homebuyers to Epping. But for now, a warm welcome to our new friends and clients who have joined our mailing list.

Here’s a roundup of the latest property news and some of the best moments from what we’ve been up to lately….

FIA Membership

Back in August we were delighted to announce we have joined The Federation of Independent Agents – an exclusive modern network of estate agents. Each FIA member agent has been carefully selected and invited to join, having to meet their strict membership criteria. With just one estate agency per town, we are so delighted to have been asked to be the FIA agent for CM16. We look forward to working closely with other agents that are part of this great professional network.

Support Local

We were proud to support some great local community groups this Summer. Some highlights include supporting Trower Dance Academy’s ‘One World’ Summer Show, along with the Friends of St Andrews School Summer Fun Day, North Weald and Coopersale’s Community Day. As a community focussed estate agency, we’re all about giving back and doing our bit, and so if you are a local charity or community group in need of sponsorship, give us a call to see if we can help!

Epping at the Movies

This year we are thrilled to be supporting Epping at the Movies as their Friday night screening sponsor.

Run by a wonderful group of volunteers and taking place at Epping Hall, Epping at the Movies is a not-for-profit community resource. If you’d like to get involved as a volunteer contact them at info@eppingatthemovies.com or to find out more about upcoming screenings visit www.eppingatthemovies.com

Dementia Friends

September is world Alzheimer’s month and as an estate agent we are often in contact with individuals and families affected by dementia. On 2 September we were joined by Clare Young from The Alzheimers Society who gave our team some training on our journey to become a ‘Dementia Friendly’ estate agent. Having extra awareness will help us support people living with dementia – with respect, patience and understanding.

Dementia Connect, from the Alzheimers Society is a new personalised support service for anyone affected by dementia. To find out more visit alzheimers.org.uk/support
